Matters need attention for steel casting China
Casting, also called pouring, is the most important process during steel castings manufacturing. If this process is not properly managed, the scrap rate of the steel castings will be very high. Thus, during steel casting production process, our investment casting factory builds strict requirements and atteation matters on every operations. The workers are also trained with all announcements before starting casting process.
First step is steel casting preparation. Enough preparation can help to control orderly conduct on casting process. Such preparations include below processes,
a.Cleaning the workroom
b.Inspecting and cleaning the casting ladle. Inspection can ensure that casting ladle is still working well. The casting ladle is dried properly.
c.Analysising the checmial components of the steel material grades.
d.Using the required casting parts quantity to estimate the needed weight of melt steel. Thus to avoid the insufficient casting defects. Also, control the quantity of finished casting parts.
Second step, to achieve qualified steel castings, it's most important to control the casting temperature, pouring rate and follow the pouring procedure strictly.
1)Casting temperature
Casting temperature affects the quality of steel castings much. The casting temperature should be determined according to the characteristic of different material grades. Usually, the casting temperature controlled between 1540-1580℃(metl steel water).
2)Casting rate
Under condition of good discharge of gas during casting, the casting should be quick for steel castings require for simultaneous. For steel castings require for progressive solidification, the casting process should be kept at a lower speed.
3)Casting procedure
As for casting procedure, the steel water should be kept in the casting ladle for 1-2 mins before casting. After steel castings solidification, it's much better to remove the mold weight and boxcard timely, thus to reduce the shriknage resistence to avoid the crack defects.
