Sand casting anchor holder 

Anchor holder is one of the most important part for the assembling of the post tension system. The anchor holder in our foundry is made by sand casting process, precoated sand casting process. 

Such anchor holder is grey iron castings. To reach certain mechanical property and strength, the anchor holder castings will also be heat treated. According to specifications from clients, the materials contains GG25,GB HT250, AWS No.35, EN-GJL-25, BS Grade 260, etc. Hardness is around 180HB. All these might be changed according to special requirements from customers.

There's one problem that might be happened during casting such anchor head.

*The bottom surface and the steps should be flat enough for assembling. To control accurancy of the cavity, qualified sand core was required for casting.  To solve this problem, we need to modify patterns to be combination of green sand casting and precoated sand casting. Sometime, we can also machine the bottom surface of the anchor holder. But cost in this way is high.

Depend on application of the anchor holder castings, the shapes can be square or round.
